A revolutionary technique, Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners to gradually align teeth into a straighter and more aesthetically pleasing position. For a lot of our patients the idea of orthodontic treatment can be daunting, often associating treatment with an embarrassing appearance which can cause a tendency to shy away from social events. For our patients this should no longer be an issue as we offer the transparent, hygienic and almost undetectable alternative to traditional braces.

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign can be used to successfully treat irregular, crowded or gapped teeth as well as treating a range of alignment issues such as over bites, under bites and cross bites. Using a series of custom fitted clear aligners which are changed approximately every two weeks, teeth are gradually pushed into the desired position to achieve a beautiful smile. Invisalign has been developed to ensure optimal comfort and gently push the teeth into the desired position without discomfort and major changes to appearance of the teeth and gums.

Perhaps the greatest advantage over traditional braces would be the fact that Invisalign is completely removable. This means no need to stay away from certain foods, your oral hygiene routine doesn’t have to change and you no longer need to avoid those important social events.

How long will I wear Invisalign?

Treatment times can greatly vary from patient to patient but over a period of 9 – 24 months, depending on the case your teeth should begin to move into place. The treatment period can rely greatly on your willingness to wear our aligners, it is suggested that patients wear them for a minimum of 22 hours a day.

Is Invisalign the right treatment for me?

Invisalign is available for a range of patients from adults to teens. In severe cases Invisalign treatment is often not the most ideal solution.
